On the evening of March 30, on the eve of the 2nd Sunday of Great Great Lent and the day of remembrance of St. Gregory Palamas, Archbishop of Thessaloniki, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated an all-night vigil at the Dormition Cathedral in London.

Liturgical chants were performed by the Cathedral Choir under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov.
During the all-night vigil, at the celebration of the polyeleos, an ark with great Christian shrines (a particle of the Life-giving Cross of the Lord, the belt of the Most Holy Mother of God and particles of the holy relics of God's chosen saints) was carried from the altar to the middle of the church.
At Matins, after reading the Gospel, Vladyka Matthew anointed the clergy and parishioners with consecrated oil.
