On the evening of March 23, 2024, on the eve of the 1st Sunday of Great Lent, the Triumph of Orthodoxy, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated an all-night vigil at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
Concelebrating with His Eminence were Secretary of the Sourozh diocese, Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch and Deacon Ioan Sîlnic.
Liturgical chants were performed by the Cathedral Choir under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov.
During the all-night vigil, during the celebration of the polyeleos, an ark with great Christian shrines (a particle of the Life-giving Cross of the Lord, the belt of the Most Holy Theotokos and particles of the holy relics of God's chosen saints) was carried from the altar to the middle of the church.
At Matins, after reading the Gospel, Vladyka Matthew anointed the clergy and parishioners with consecrated oil.
