On March 22, 2024, on Friday of the first week of Great Lent, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh prayed during Lenten Matins, Hours and Typica at the Dormition Cathedral in London. Then the Right Reverend Archpastor celebrated the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts.
Concelebrating with His Grace were Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, Dean of the Diocesan District of South-East England, Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, Dean of the Diocesan District of South-West England, Archpriest Joseph Skinner, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh, Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, clergy of the UOC temporarily staying on the territory of the Diocese of Sourozh, Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch and Deacon Victor Nikiforov.
Liturgical chants were performed by the choir of the Dormition Cathedral under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov.
Following the prayer behind the ambo, Vladyka Matthew and the concelebrating clergy served a moleben with the reading of the canon to the holy Great Martyr Theodore Tiron, then Vladyka blessed the kolivo.
At the end of the divine service, His Grace addressed the clergy and parishioners with a sermon.
