« Consecration of a new priest took place in the Cathedral on the feast of Transfiguration »

On the 19th of August, the feast of Transfiguration of Jesus Christ, a new priest - Nikolay Evseev - was ordained in the London Cathedral of the Dormition of the Mother of God and All Saints. The consecration of deacon Nikolay was conducted by His Grace Bishop Elisey of Sourozh who led the festive Divine Liturgy in concelebration with the clergy of the Cathedral. Father Nikolay will be serving in Ireland.

Priest Nikolay Evseev was born in 1975 in Cheboksary, Chuvash Republic.. A graduate of the State University of Chuvashia, where he studied technical sciences, father Nikolay has been living in Ireland since 1999 and since 2002 he has been taking an active part in the life of the parish of Saint Peter and Paul in Dublin. In 2005 he was ordained as a deacon. In 2007 father Nikolay graduated from the Theological Department of the Orthodox Svyato-Tihonovsky University of Humanities (Moscow). He is married with three children.

Addressing to the newly ordained priest, Vladyka Elisey wished him God's help in his ministerial mission on the Christ's field.
